City of Big Shoulders

As a native of Chicagoland, I was happy to see the
other day that some urban planning guru listed
Chicago has having the second best architechtural
skyline in the world, after Hong Kong.
See: The Top 15 Skylines in the World v3.0
As the birthplace of the modern skyscraper,Chicagoans
are very proud of their city and especially the skyline.

Just this week, it was announced that the Fordham Tower
development had been approved by the city council.
Construction will begin late this year and finish by
2010. When completed, it will be just over 2000 feet
tall and the tallest building in North America.
