About an hour and a half from home is the small
town of Moab, Utah. Moab is one of the more
famous "adventure" towns of the west and is home
to red rocks, mountain biking, jeeping and the
gateway town for Arches and Canyonlands National
Parks. We've been to Moab a handful of times and
have really enjoyed it, so on a whim, we made the
short drive into Utah and visited again. There was
a "Jeep Safari" going on and town was really busy.
Much busier than we expected and things were a
little noisy for our tastes. After having lunch
at the Moab Diner, we visited the local tourism
office, a bookstore we hadn't been to before,
and Mondo Coffee. We'll go back again later this
spring to revisit Arches and Canyonlands (we didn't
have time to do them justice today) but it will
definitely be during the middle of the week when
things aren't quite so crazy.
