Downtown Farmer's Market

This evening, we found yet another reason to be
glad we moved to Grand Junction. The Downtown
Farmer's Market. It's held every Thursday
evening through the end of the summer from
5:00 to 8:30. Many towns have their markets
during the day, but this timing is perfect here
because a)it's cooler and b)more people can
attend if it's in the evening. This time of
year, the produce is a little thin, consisting
of mostly apricots and cherries. However, later
in the year, more vegetables and wonderful peaches
will be in abundance. Not only are produce stands
present, all of Main Street is closed off downtown
and vendors, entertainers and food stands line it's
entirety. There are other farmer's markets near
the Mesa Mall, Fruita and Palisade that we want to
check out but this is the one that we will be
attending regularly.

She's been knitting up a storm and has posted quite
a few pictures of her latest creations.
