LAX

I'm blogging tonight from LAX...Los Angeles
International Airport. LAX is definitely not
my favorite airport in the world. The domestic
terminal is nice enough, but the Tom Bradley
International terminal has hardly any amenities
and is bland bland bland. I don't think that
they've changed any of the carpet or painted
in the five years I've been going to The Ice.

So the second leg of the trip is over. Denver
to LA is behind me and the long 12.5 hour flight
to Auckland is ahead. I do have an aisle seat
though, so that will make it more comfortable.
Something about being able to get out of your
seat in the middle of the night without having
to climb over others just makes it more restful
in general. Plus, they feed you both dinner and
breakfast and give you an ice cream bar for
dessert. It seems sad that you have to go on
an overseas flight nowadays to get fed on a plane.
My next blog entry will be from New Zealand. I'm
looking forward to seeing Christchurch again after
being gone a year.

Looks like I will be returning to civilization on the same flight that brings you to frozen Hell. Shame we won't see each other. Hopefully, I will be able to return in January. :(
