Cruising into Winter Quarters Bay yesterday was
the Paul Buck. The fuel tanker. Within it's
hold is the entire fuel supply for both McMurdo
and South Pole stations for one year. It does
it's job really quickly since it will be done
in just 12 hours from now on Saturday. The Paul
Buck won't be around very long though as the
American Tern (the Supply Vessel) is on it's way
and will be here in 24 hours. It's going to be
even busier soon.
