Winter Wine Tasting

Last night Lynn, I and a few others hosted the
Winter Wine Tasting 2007 event in the Library. Not
the typical location for such an event, but since
the Coffee House is closed for the season, it seemed
like the most logical choice. The evening was a
complete hit, with 60+ people in attendance, enjoying
five good wines from Australia, New Zealand and Italy
included in the price of a ticket. Lots of people
donated a great deal of time and effort in making the
evening a success, serviing some great appetizers as
well.

The highlight of the evening though had to be
Nathan playing over three hours of music, singing
duets with Martin and an awesome Sufjan Stevens song,
"Casimir Pualaski Day" with Carrie helping on vocals
and Jim and Rob on guitar and trumpet.

The Library worked as the perfect setting as there
was lots of room for people to listen to music up
front, but lots of little cubby=holes for people to
mingle and chat. As the evening progressed, people
stuck around and enjoyed the evening. One of the best
events of the winter.
