From the department of "Why Did We Get These" comes
the 5184 McMurdo Station Guides we received today.
Don't get me wrong. This is a valuable resource of
information that a lot of people should have.
However, we received 5184 of them. Why? At most
there are 1200 people at McMurdo during it's busiest
time. If each person took one of these booklets, it
would take almost 5 years for us to go through the
supply. Granted some of the info will be the same,
but most will not. Heck, we'll all be eating pills
for all of our meals and travelling to work in flying
cars by then!
