ReStore

While sprucing up the inside of our house this spring, we discovered
the ReStore, operated by Habitat For Humanity. From the ReStore
website:

Promoting Reuse and Recycling
ReStore resale outlets provide an environmentally and socially responsible
way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing
funding for Habitat’s community improvement work.

Habitat for Humanity of Mesa County operates a really wonderful ReStore,
and even though we didn't buy anything from them, we were able to donate
a few items, including an old stove, bathroom vanity and dining room light
that the ReStore will be able to sell to someone needing one of these items
and in turn, be able to help others build their homes. We also like the fact
that usable items are not ending up in the landfill and in someone's houses.
Plus, we get to write the donations off on our taxes. A win-win for everyone!
