Caliente!

Today we tied a record (albeit only 4 years old) high temperature
when the thermomether reached 101 degrees. It was also the
highest temperature in the state of Colorado for the day. Our
Swamp Cooler is getting a real workout, but is performing like
a champ. Luckily the humidity is only 12%. The main saving
grace is that it's supposed to get down to 65 degrees tonight.
The benefits of living in a desert that isn't near a big city like
Phoenix or Las Vegas that hold in the heat at night.

Return of the Swamp Cooler

No, this post has nothing to do with cheezy movies, but I couldn't
resist this photo.


THIS is the real photo for this posting. It's a sure sign that summer
is arriving because we had our Swamp Cooler serviced and prepared
for summer today. Kind of like washing your car will guarantee rain,
our weather is forecasted to be in the 80's this week. I'm hoping that
it won't get too much hotter than that so we won't have to turn it on,
but if it does, we'll be ready!
