Lately I've been watching "The Civil War".

This is the excellent documentary by Ken Burns that
was originally aired on PBS in 1990. Although it's
nine episodes long and takes a while to watch, it's
a great view of American history whether you are
a Civil War buff or not. It should be available at
most video stores and libraries. Give it a look.
