This time of year we have some incredible sunsets.
A number of people took photos of this particular
phenomoenon last night. It's almost as if nature
is telling us that the sun (and the escape route
away from the long Antarctic night ahead) is just
ahead and if we follow this path, sunlight, green
grass and freshies lie ahead. In reality, the sunbeam
is pointing toward East Antarctica, on the other side
of the Royal Society Range. There it's even colder
and more desolate than Ross Island. Ah...nature,
the temptress.
