Today Chicago came one step closer to hosting the
2016 Summer Olympics by winning the right to represent
the United States in the bidding process. The major
competition seems to be Tokyo, Madrid and Rio. My
parents have already announced that they are going
nowhere near the city if Chicago does win the bid, but
I don't think that will stop me. I plan on attending.
I think it's a great thing for the city and when they
finally make the announcement in 2009, I'm sure it will
be Chicago.
