Cubs Win!

It's just the first step in hopefully a long stretch
of games to come, but the Cubs took that first step
today by winning the National League Central Division.
They'll probably play Arizona in the upcoming playoffs
and most likely either Philadelphia or San Diego if
they beat the Diamondbacks. This reminds me an awful
lot of 2003; the last time the Cubs won their division
and almost made it to the World Series. We were in
New Zealand and it was nearly impossible to follow the
games. This year I will be in New Zealand again and
probably Thailand or France when the World Series is in
full swing. I'll follow along the best I can, but I'm
afraid they're going to have to do it without me. It's
only been 99 years since they last won a World Series.
Back in 1908 they won it without me too...

You would've loved the WGN coverage of the celebration in the locker room after Milwaukee lost - I don't think I've ever seen the Cubs players having that much fun! If you find out somewhere to watch in NZ, let me know - I'll be the one in the Cubs shirt in CHC next week! GO CUBS!!!!

Remember, we're not used to watching the Cubs do anything to have fun. I'll keep a lookout for you!
