As I type away on a pay-per-minute internet machine here at
the YMCA, I realize that we are almost finished with our
all too brief visit to Christchurch. Lots of boxes have
been mailed to parts and places north, many friends have
been seen over the past few days, including some who have
returned to head south to the Ice for a summer season after
wintering with us just a few short months ago. We had a
really nice dinner last night with Carrie and Tony and
Paulie and Heather, who have gained residency in New
Zealand. They both have great jobs here and bought a nice
little house in Lytleton, overlooing the harbor. It's
been a fun visit and although it will be sad to leave, we
will be back in January.
Tomorrow, after a connection in Sydney, Australia, it's on
to Bangkok Thailand for just one night. Then off to Railay,
Krabi Thailand for 8 great days soaking up the sun on a
tropical beach. We can't wait!
