I was fortunate today to be able to watch the
memorial service for Sir Edmund Hillary, broadcast
live from Auckland on TVNZ. Attended by many, some
famous, most not. All there to honor a great man.
Not just an adventurer, but a humanitarian.
The flag at Scott Base flew at half staff in honor of
it's founder.
During the eulogy, I believe his son, Peter said it
best about his father:
"It's not so much the places we go to, but the people
we go with."
Thank you, Sir Ed. Even though we never met, I felt I
knew you.
