Our friend Tony left today via helicopter for Lake Hoare.
Lake Hoare is one of the Field Camps in the Dry Valleys
that will be hosting a number of scientific experiements
during the Extended Season that lasts until April 17th.
Not only is Tony our friend, he is the boyfriend of another
good friend, Carrie, who is currently in India, so they are
both in pretty exotic locations at the same time. Although
he was looking forward to it, I'm not sure I would want to
sleep in a tent for almost two months, but at least there's
a few cozy buildings to hang out in and to grab meals when
he's not working outside. We will see Tony again during the
second week of March when he comes back for his birthday!
