Little Yellow Book
Yesterday, we went to the Travel Doctor to get our
vaccinations for our upcoming trip to Ecuador. Not only
did we need to get a Influenza Vaccination, we also had
to get shots for Yellow Fever, Typhoid and Hepatitis A.
We felt slightly like pin cushions by the time we were done,
but now we will be relatively safe no matter what part of
the country we visit. We'll need to get some Malaria
tablets but will get those from our family doctor in
Colorado. However, for the cost of all of these shots,
you get a little yellow book, about the size of a passport,
that tells folks at immigration of whichever country you
are visiting what shots you've received. Hardly a fair trade
off for getting your arm pricked three times, but I'm sure
we'll be grateful once we get there.
