Last month when we were in Otavalo, we visited a bird sanctuary
called Parque Condor. Along with Andean Condors, it houses
other birds of prey that have been injured and they are nursing
back to health. This condor preened for us long enough to take
this photo.
These are Barred Hawks that are found only in Central and South
America.
There's also a spectacular view of the city of Otavalo.
