Kiwanis Pancake Day

After running morning errands, Lynn returned home and
announced that we were going to attend the Kiwanis
Pancake Day at the Two Rivers Convention Center. We
got there at lunchtime (it was being held until 2pm) and
I was pretty amazed how many people were there. Being
served were pancakes of course, scrambled eggs and
sausage, plus just about any kind of juice, coffee or milk
you would want. All for $5.00. Afterwards, we strolled
through the silent auction area, where different services
and products from local businesses were being put up
for sale to support Kiwanis charities. This is the 43rd
year the Kiwanis have been holding the event and
truthfully, it looked like a lot of the attendees had
probably attended the first breakfast, but surprisingly,
there were a lot of younger folks there too, making it
a good family/community event.
