Peaches!

It's Peach season in the Grand Valley and we drove over to
Palisade the other day to pick up some of these beauties.
Peaches have become Colorado’s most important fruit crop in
terms of production with over half a million trees planted in
orchards. Mesa County accounts for nearly 74 percent o the
state's total peach trees. There are numerous varieties of
peaches in the state, with Cresthaven, Red Globe and Suncrest
being the the most numerous varieties. In a couple of weeks
we'll be going to the Palisade Peach Festival. We're excited
because it's one of the few times we'll actually be home for it.

Wow. Never equated Colorado with peaches. Thought that was Georgia's job. :)

They look wonderful. I get really tired of unripe peaches at the local grocery store. They're hard and have no smell.
