Here Comes The Sun

I know that this doesn't look like a bright sunny day to
most people, but when you haven't seen the sun itself
since late April and ANY light in the sky since late May,
we're ready to get out the SPF 40. We're just a little
over a month right now until the first sunrise but we
will gradually be getting lighter for longer periods of
time from now until then. According to this website:
http://penguincentral.com/sunchart/sun_mcm.gif
we are on something called Nautical Twilight which
means that the sun is only between 6 degrees and
12 degrees below the horizon. Heck, that really isn't
important. What IS important is that it WILL get light
again and the sun DOES exist.

That is a really cool picture. I just stumbled on to your blog -- I'll keep checking back. What brought you to Antarctica?
