Um, yeah … We're gonna need you to come in to wash
dishes this winter
Oh, oh, and I almost forgot. Ahh, I'm also gonna need
you to go ahead and wash dishes at WINFLY, too...
All season everyone on Station has had to fill
in as a Dining Attendant as this year we weren't
sent a full staff of DA's. So here we are, getting
ready to enter the last month of the season and
I've just completed the last schedule. It's my
job to do this every month and typically, it's not
too bad. But this month it was certainly full of
headaches. Whole departments that can't work in
the Galley during WINFLY Week, persons that can
only work the morning shift, trying to find people
that can work a Sunday because they haven't yet this
winter. On top of all this it looks like the Sunday
crossword puzzle because everyone's "X" is all over
the place and certainly not in the usual alphabetical
order. Now here we are at the end of the season,
and some of us have to wash dishes during WINFLY
week as well. I think everyone will be glad when
this dishwashing experiment is over. It doesn't
seem very fair.

I am sooo sorry. That seems a bit ridiculous; even for a tanned "northerner." I am washing dishes at Starbucks, though. See you soon enough!
More of a principal thing than anything else. I don't think that just anyone coming down should have to wash but that they should bring down enough DAs to do the job early. Sounds from your blog like you're having a great summer. I'm very envious!
