I seem to be drawn toward maps these days (even more than usual). This is a neat comparison of just how big Antarctica is compared to the continental United States. If Antarctica was the U.S., we would be just off the coast of South Texas, while the South Pole is somewhere near Denver. The coldest place on earth (Vostok Station) would be near St. Louis.
