Work Starts on I-70

Work started today on permanent repairs to Interstate 70 in
Glenwood Canyon. The stretch of highway was damaged when
20 boulders made holes in the highway on March 8th.
Flatiron Construction will be paid $860,000 for the repairs
and they will receive up to a $5000 per day bonus for
completing the job before May 15th. The work entails bridge
deck and wall repairs, guardrail and median repairs as well
as lighting repairs. A total of 400 tons of patching asphalt
will be used on the project.
