Rush at Red Rocks

Until last night, I had never attended a concert at Red Rocks, just
west of Denver. I was supposed to go see R.E.M. there in 1995, but
someone stole the tickets from Lynn and we didn't go. This concert
more than made up for it. The venue itself is wonderful, with no bad
seats and in a natural amphitheatre of large sandstone rocks surrounding
the seats and the stage. I won't go into a complete review of the concert
because so many people do that for a living. However, Rush was just
phenomenal. I've been listening to them since high school. There were
people of all ages at the concert, ranging from small children to grand
parents in their 70's. Rush played for over three hours and no one left
disappointed as they played a good mix of old and new, including a
full playing of the album, "Moving Pictures". Their tight playing, combined
with typical sense of humor made the three hours fly by.
