After a very uneventful, but way too expensive stay at a very
drab hotel at the Sydney Airport, we caught a Jetstar flight to
Hobart, Tasmania. Originally called Van Diemen's Land by
explorer Abel Tasman, Tasmania is part of the nation of
Australia and it's southernmost state. The ride in from the
airport to Hobart's central city was really pretty, crossing the
Derwent River, to our home for the next five days.
